Annual Reports

Our 2012 activities included:
• Getting 238 cats (mostly feral cats) spayed/neutered.
• Rescuing and finding loving homes for about 20 tame cats.
• Providing hundreds of pounds of cat food to low-income caregivers of feral cats.
• Providing straw bedding for feral cat shelters in D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia.
• Maintaining four daily feeding sites for feral cats in Northwest D.C.
• Answering 100 e-mail and phone inquiries from caregivers of outdoor cats.
• Increasing awareness of humane feral cat management by being quoted and photographed in USA Today.
• Maintaining two websites that advertise our adoptable cats.
• Showing our adoptable cats at local pet stores two weekends per month.


Our 2011 accomplishments included:
• Getting 224 cats (mostly strays and ferals) spayed/neutered. That’s almost triple the previous year’s total.
• Providing approximately 1,000 pounds of cat food to low-income caregivers.
• Providing straw bedding for about 20 feral cat shelters.
• Finding loving homes for more than a dozen tame cats.
• Increasing awareness of humane feral cat management through coverage in the Washington Post, Kensington Patch and Examiner.com.
